IPCS Director and Principal Automation engineer, Ashil Prakash, has been in the automation industry for over 15 years with extensive experience as a commissioning engineer in Baggage Handling for local and international Airports and vast experience as a site-based engineering for Dairy Powder and Cheese manufacturing.
Ashil has been the principle engineer in designing and implementing the Open Country Diary Network in Waharoa and in Horotiu including Security/User configuration on PC, Servers and Automation Networks.
Ashil is also qualified with a master’s degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering from the University of Waikato and is expertise in PLC, HMI and SCADA systems design, fabrication and maintenance along with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Throughout his career, Ashil has developed excellent leadership and mentoring skills, customer relationship building skills and business management skills and he ensures that IPCS provides the best products and services to all its customers.
Shanima is a qualified Engineer with a MSc. in Embedded Intelligent Systems and a BEng. (Hons) in Digital Communications and Electronics Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and IEEE.
His experience includes hardware and software design for embedded systems as well as major PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms. He has outstanding knowledge and hands-on experience with Electrical & Electronic system design, prototype design & development, logic programming, Computer systems & networking, firmware and other supporting software development.
He has previously worked as a Research Assistant at University of Waikato, as an Electrical Engineer and R & D team leader at Caterpillar (CAT), Sri Lanka and has secured a proven track record for technical delivery of projects, managing major projects in systems design and implementation with generator installation and commissioning.
He has also demonstrated leadership and customer relationship management skills throughout his career and is keen to offer the best out of his skills and abilities to offer our clients exactly what they need.
